Join Brisbane-based Printmaker Kay Watanabe for an introduction to carving rubber stamps.
The soft and easy to carve rubber used to make a stamp is an ideal place to start if you want to learn the basics of printmaking. The rubber stamp has become so popular in Japanese crafting that it has its own category!
This workshop gives you the skills to create your own small artworks and stationary stamps using a soft, easy to work with rubber that is very similar to an eraser.
You may like to wear old clothing or bring an apron as we will be working with paints and inks. Participants must also wear enclosed shoes as we are working with sharp tools.
Materials provided. Participants should bring pens and pencils and a notebook.

Suitable for adults and children aged 12 and up. Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult (both must purchase a ticket). Please be aware this workshop uses sharp tools to carve stamps.

Cancellation Policy: As we purchase materials based on the number of attendees for each workshop we are unable to refund tickets. We do welcome you to pass your ticket to a friend to come in your place. Please email us if you do wish to change the name on the ticket.
