This workshop is tailored for beginners & will take you through the basic techniques of creating polymer clay millefiori canes and cane reduction techniques. The aim is to create a unique design following throughout the length of the cane. The canes can be reduced to various sizes, sliced and combined in different ways.
This workshop gives you the experience of making a cane as well as many tips and techniques.
The term Millefiori is a combination of the Italian words “mille” (thousand) and “fiori” (flowers) and has been applied to the process of polymer clay cane making.
Polymer Clay Canes have many uses. This technique allows you to create consistent design for bead making, card making, Journal covers, Glass & Metal decoration, nail art etc.
In this workshop you will make a basic millefiori cane and either a pendant, a button or beads to take home. You will also take home the cane you have created and can continue to use the cane and make more pieces at home.
All materials will be supplied, you will just need to bring a roller (acrylic roller or rolling pin, polymer clay dedicated, you can pick up rollers in discount stores or spotlight) and a ruler. Pens and a notebook are also handy.
